The Week to Come: 1/10/11 - 1/14/11

This coming week we're focusing on force and motion, with the 5th Great Lesson happening tomorrow and several follow-up lessons on simple machines. We're also doing African country research projects and touching a bit on Ancient Egypt.
In Language Arts (LA) I've got several things I want to cover this week:

• KE for Homonyms - Monday
  
• KE for Semi-colons - Tuesday
  
• KE for Possessive Case - Wednesday
  
• KE for Adverbs - Thursday
  
• Glossary lesson (ooh, work that in with African country research!)

It's going to be a big LA week. I also need to do the fluency evaluations on the 2nd and 3rd grade students, and I will need to start evaluating the 4th graders as well, even though it's not required by the state.
I'm sending homework again tomorrow. Something for simple machines, something for African political geography and something for Ancient Egypt. I should go hunt those things down now.

I've found some good things for the homework folder, and I also found a couple good simple machines follow-up activities. I also came across some language things I want to do.

I love the internet.
